Artemisia - new build thread for a Prestige 680

Fantastic stuff Mark. The blue looks amazing. I guess the remaining bits are the sharkfins and transom, and actually they would alos look good left white, but equally will look great in the blue too.

Yup sharks being done as I write. Am vacillating over the transom. Think will do just the central panel and door under the name plate, then if don't like it, we can always peel it off!

Have you changed the HT "curtain" to blue fabric too? I admire your "no half measures" attitude :encouragement:

HT drop down curtain is same material as the cockpit.

I looked at those efoy fuel cells and couldn't quite see what it would usefully do, given the tiny Kw rating of the things. you say it will drive the cameras, but why not use the batteries and shorepower for that?

The primary concept of the fuel cell is to power cameras when absent from boat, with no shore power, and with all other electrics off.

Anyway, congratulations on the near conclusion of a very nice project. I hope you have a very nice delivery trip, and with luck I'll at least a glimpse of her during the weekend. (Some drone footage would be rather nice!)

Sadly don't own a drone. But thinking of using a company in Salerno to spend half day shooting footage of us off Amalfi coast.

Boat looks fantastic! congratulations and thank you for sharing the build and decision making process.

Good luck with the delivery trip, should be quite an adventure and enjoy the coming season.

The domes are wrapped in black
Whoops, do you mean they were purposedly wrapped that way?
I was thinking that I'd either leave them white or wrapped blue, but not black.
Anyway, as for anything aesthetic, there's no right or wrong.
If you like them black, who am I to argue!? :encouragement:

HAHAHAH foot and mouth springs to mind. Nice recovery though.

Congratulations on the new and wonderful boat. I wish you very many happy voyages on it. I can only imagine your excitement at owning a boat from new, where you have been involved from the start!

Would also be interesting to see what you views are in 3 months time after you have used and lived on it. To see if there are anything's that you wish you had added or removed or would have redesigned slightly different like location of plugs, taps etc.

That's why, with semi custom, it's best to do it twice on the same hull. :encouragement:

Absolutely Gorgeous M.

She looks absolutely stunning and love some of the stuff you have done -- GBJ/BJT never had (IMHO) a reputation for semi-custom until I started viewing this thread and what you've done with Artemisia is awesome. Watching her launch/'sail off' today must have been a massive thrill for you both.

Safe journey around the corner and onwards to salerno -- sea conditions look great as Im sure you know -- unless you actually want to see 'the sun' of course !

Can only echo what others' have said.

She looks superb in that blue, a very pretty boat.

It doesn't seem a year since your 'Prestige 680....exclusive scoop' thread.

You and your wife must be very proud.

Congratulations Marc,
You've got yourselve a stunning vessel, and she looks really nice.

the video in the other thread got my attention as she's got such a nice 'ride'

wish you good luck and many save and happy hours with Artemisia !

It was a pleasure to meet you briefly on Saturday Mark, and to see the wonderful Artemisia in the flesh, though it's a shame we missed you later in the evening and didn't get a chance to look round inside or share a glass of wine. I hope the conditions on Sunday weren't too challenging for your onward trip to Elba :D
