I am the proud owner of the above switch, the only trouble is that it has melted and I need a replacement. :(

It fits into the main fuse panel on my yacht and the big problem is trying to find an exact replacement (size-wise) as the hole has been machined into the black plastic fuse panel, the type where they then etch down through the black surface to the white which forms the names of all the fuses and switches. The panel size is 14" x 16", hinged with 25 fused switches and 2 panel meters. This would be very expensive to get remade for the sake of a different sized switch!

Details of switch:

ARROW Made in England (circa 1992).

16Amp 250 Volt

DPDT (Three position centre Off) (6 terminal)

20mm x 40mm (this is the critical size which is cut into the panel)

Part number: 92P10211E A

All I can find are smaller switches of this type which are either 15 Amp 250volt or they are 20mm x 30mm which fall through the hole in the fuse panel.

Does anyone know anywhere that can supply a suitable switch please? :)

Have a look at cpc.co.uk They carry a good range.

I used to have a CPC account throughout the 70's and 80's when they were specifically TV, electronic, VHS and Betamax parts stockists but sadly nowadays their 100,00 parts in stock list items which are certainly not electrical or electronic (Car parts, Cameras, Office supplies, Health & Safety).

Their stock of DPDT Rocker switches sums to just two switches and only one is centre off.

The same with RS Spares for which I also have an account and they do not stock anything which will fit but again have they have two at the correct current and they also would just fall through the existing cut out hole in fuse panel.

I already have one of these, I ordered at 16 Amp switch which, when it arrived was rated as 15 Amps!! It is too small 20mm x 30mm and falls through the fuse panel.

I had to replace a switch in the heads and the only replacement I could get was too small for the hole, so I made an inset to fit it in and fitted that into the hole. I have to admit it took me two weeks to file it but it fits perfectly and no one ever notices it.
