Occaisonal bleeping from the bilge alarm coming back in causes concern, but we don't appear to be sinking. Hmmm, someone elses brat has left water switch "on", but fresh water gauge shows zero, fairly certain that brat brushing teeth didn't use 100Litres of water. Open up engine room hatch to find: 100L of fresh water sloshing around in the bilge.

Arrggh, some foul language, which settles into demolishing 750mls of Shiraz at the dockside in a first attempt to fix.

Second attempt to fix will be tomorrow crawling into small spaces designed for five year olds, removing panels and finding the one totally inacccesible leaking joint...

Thanks, will check properly tomorrow.

At this stage, I still have no idea where it is coming from, apart from that it all winds up in the bilge. Have checked the visible joints, and all look dry. I've refilled today to see what happens. If it empties overnight with the water unpressurised, I'll start checking the lo pressure side too.

It did, that was the bleeping as it activated.

The position of the switch and the trigger point is such that it allows about 3 inches of water (i.e. many gallons) to gather before starting automatically. Not sure if this is typical/correct or not.
