Just had a look and the High Tide at Arnside is 10.7 metres at 13.30 tommorow (Tuesday)
If you're in the area and want to see a good Bore it should be coming up at about 11.00 am or so. (10.30 to be safe)

I didn't think you lived in Arnside!

Sorry, no offence meant. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

No he can't have been as the bore was only mildy tedious. Despite being nearly at the top of the tidal range it was a wavelet.

The CG reckons that it's best after a week of rain so that the Kent has washed a straight channel in the bay and with a SouthWesterly wind. We had neither.
The bore appeared at 11.05 which is exactly 2hrs 30 mins before the High Tide (according to the Admiralty tide site, but the local CG posts the high tide 55 minutes earlier.

On the way home was more excited by a deer in the woods at Levens Hall.

Learned to sail at Arnside in the 50's and used to run kayak Instructor courses which always included a play around the vidaduct if there was a spring tide.
The bore can be quite spectacular as your picture shows but its nothing compared with what follows!
