Considering that my sailing is mostly Coastal & Solent with the occasional hop over to France, what do people think of the adequacy of an Arimar Liferaft?

Compass are selling them for £396 (4 person - container)....

Thanks, Marc.

I've got one - but haven't actually used it, so can't give any recomendations. The reason I bought it was because it was cheap, and it had a long service interval.

After doing my sea survival course, I became a lot more interested in what it contained but wasn't able to find anything on the web apart from the italian company who makes them - and they didn't reply to my questions. The user manual with it is useless and doesn't give any useful info like whether it has a bailer, flares, food, etc.

Does anyone know the details of what it contains?

Taking a look at the compass site, it gives you the follwing info:

Manufactured to ISO 9001 quality control requirements for coastal waters. Both buoyancy tubes of the liferaft are completely independent of each other, so even if one tube is damaged, the raft will still support the authorized number of persons. The canopy is self erecting and is fitted with an automatic distress light and retro-reflective foil. The interior can be ventilated via an inspection opening. Large anti-capsize pockets provide maximum stability. Standard equipment: 1 floating steel knife 1 floating heaving line with ring sea anchors, 1 bellows pump 1 first aid kit, 1 repair kit, 2 paddles 1 baler,1 waterproof torch 2 spare batteries.
