Here I am sat in my yacht club with a howling easterly and I cant get to my boat. I wanted to put the canopy up, but no way Jose. Instead, I am on-line with little to do /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

So who's going to join me for a beer when the bar opens?

Oh sorry, I forgot, most of you chaps are darn sarf /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Having said that I have been in Trearddur Bay this weekend on good ol Anglesey, and the sea looked pretty pond like this side of the island. Having said that I would think more than a mile or so out and it would have been pretty rough.

And the wind was bleeding freezing, so we didnt see one brave soul or fisherman take his boat out.

Ho Hum - happy days yet to come!

Also it was quite nice this morning, went for a stroll on the beach, and it was sooo peaceful we took a picture! Oh the calm seas.

Obviously you are on the other side of the peninsular /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I just wish I had pictures at Porthmadog. There was a woman on Black Rock Sands taking an anemometer reading and I got to see what it was....60kts (yes really!).

Blimmin weather! /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

We were at sea today, the wind was blowing from off shore. The deck felt very stable and never moved at all, even though we must have been at least half a mile out. On shore was a big tower, there were loads of people about. Many had funny hats on. So where were we then?? /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

That easterly was shooting straight across the Irish Sea, up Malahide Estuary and hitting us straight on the starboard side. Put down an extra 3 fenders - that makes 10 on the port side and they are squashed like balloons. More Easterlies for next 2 to 3 days. Sh1te.

I've been on my boat all day. Very calm and almost spring like in the weak sun.

Mind you, it is on my drive in Mid Cheshire.

Tomorrow, I am going to jack the whole thing up onto the nice set of boat stands I got recently. So, on Monday, I will either post pictures of the boat on the stands, or lying on its side with an insurance assessor looking on.

Wish me luck.

10 fenders - Thats going some? Would you like some more shipped over! The weather looks pretty windy and its a bitter cold wind as well. We also pottered over to Holyhead, and it was pretty rough there as well, we were going to walk the Harbour wall, but the much warmer coffee shop beckoned and that was that.

Martyn

Don't need to ship them Martyn.
Just drop the over the wall at Holyhead and I'll have them in a couple of hours /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
