A recent thread about following cruisers on Twitter got me thinking a familiar thought...

Been out four times this year and loved every minute of it.
Perhaps there is an element of cabin fever on the forums ?

For me it is I wish I was on my boat but I can't. End of story

I live five minutes from the boat and am down there every weekend fibreglassing / plumbing / fettling at the moment. During the week I have to work to pay the bills, and the evenings are too dark to work on the boat (though I've put together the odd bit of bracketry in the shed). So I spend them on the computer researching and ordering boat stuff (a fair amount of the research being via these forums).

Once the boat is in the water and the evenings are lighter, you might hear from me a bit less

possibly, but do we really care?
Though, thinking about it, some people do seem to take boating so serious I sometimes wonder where the fun comes in!
