Are the nitrile diaphragms in a Whale Gusher 25 cut from sheet or moulded, please?

I'm trying to prolong the life of our 1966 bilge pump.

The old diaphragms are so misshapen, that it's impossible to tell how they were made: I'm guessing that they'd have been moulded, but hoping I can cut replacements from sheet.

Can any experts enlighten me, please?

(Yes, I've sent an enquiry to Whale, and am awaiting their reply).

Whale will probably tell you that you will have to pay "marine price" for their exclusive spare parts
Can't help otherwise, as it's been some time since I dismantled a pump.

Not sure of the actual part but have sourced a few rubber components over the years.
if I were sourcing a significant quantity they would probably be compression moulded for accuracy but can’t see a reason you couldn’t cut from sheet. I would buy a small quantity of EPDM sheet and give it a try. That should last some years.
