When i found an internet conection i looked at the compass site there i found a midland hand held VHF 20% off.

And a "mobicool" compressor fridge which it says needs 65w (6.5 amps) and will,it says, need to run for 6% or the time to maintain 5 degrees C at 20 degrees outsid temp, and run for 10% of the time when the outside temps 32 degrees C

It "only" costs £120 where as the Waceco they also are selling costs more that the value of my boat!!For one the same size.

Dose this meen that China is at last makeing afordable compressor fridges?? It also says that the "mobicool" is filled with CF-40 while the "Waeco" is filled with CF-18/CF-25

As other items all cost at least 40% more than the price in other shops will we perhaps find this compressor fridge in Lidle/carrfour for £60 soon??

(The Sangean radios and watches for example are 40% more than there general sale price)

Is "CF-40" a good refrigerant??? Im not buying one as i cant aford it!!But if i find one for £60 or less i could just about think about getting one, though asim spending summers in grey wet areas such as the Atlantic coast last year id need a second 85w solar panel!!Just to run it???

Id love to have a good fridge but i dont think ill ever be able to justify one unless the med becomes less expensive and much less crowded in summer.

Hear is the link http://compass24.com/cgi-bin/abnetshop.pl?ARTNR=138180

It now costs £169!!! Must be good as its going up in price

dose seem to be 240v but why dose compass ask £169 when its on sale for £100?no one has 240v to run a small carry on fridge. So its another rip off?

Im experimenting with a gas/12v/240v fridge ive been given,it needs about 8amps but if i can make my alcohol experimental flame more economic then i could run an evaperation system
