Apart from the wheel falling off. I recently bought another small boat. It is a Ranieri Revolution 4.55 with a 50 hp Tohatsu 2 stroke (Not everyone's cup of tea but I like 2 strokes and actually prefer them over 4 strokes).

I think before the Pandemic say (3 years ago) you could have picked this boat up, including trailer, and various accessories for about £7,500 as Ranieri are Italian (Not that they know much other than to put large feathers in their hats) and thought to be a good brand with well made boats.

I just paid £8,250 which I felt was quite a good price. If you look on facebook market place and based on this I think used prices are coming down especially in the small boat market....... Lets hope I am right (assuming you are a buyer).

Here is what I bought or as Jim might have said (Take a look at what you might have won :geek: )

There seems to be more boats coming onto the market in the last few weeks, possibly owners trying to cash in before the potential crash coming.
Brokers being brokers are still trying to keep prices high and asking silly prices for 15-20 year old boats, for now they are still selling but it’s hard to see that continuing as more boats come onto the market in a few weeks at the end of the season.

I’m going to hang on for a couple of years yet, I’ll either grab a bargain or priced out of the market, that’s the risk you take.

Small boat prices have softened considerably in the last few months Dennis.

I sold a 3.2 metre Grand rib with centre console, trailer and 25 2 stroke Yammy last week.

I would have got close to 3k last year but sold for £1900 after a struggle.

Having said that I sold Zoom for 56% more than I paid for her 4 years ago.....

But notwithstanding that, the market for under, say, 6 metre boats has shifted down.

Damn ! I was hoping to borrow your rib today so I can reattach a stainless protection strip on Billy Ruffian's stem. Looks like I'll be blowing my own dinghy up .

He still has his big Rib........ And I think there is Brandy and Cake in the locker ;)

There was cake and brandy ..

Trev if you need a rib you can use my Avon which is at the stern of the sunseeker on your pontoon.

Will be recovering it later in the day....
I blew up my own tender to discover no weaver davits and in general a quite tatty tender, but hey ho, it wouldn't have changed my mind on the purchase. Anyway my stem trim strip is re-attached following an automation with a pontoon that jumped out in front of me at Cowes last week !!!
