We have an Ardic 423DL warm air heater on board, more or less the same style as eberspacher. Problems Friday night SWMBO wanted warming up but nothing, lights came on but no fan. Glow plug was working OK although smoking a lot from unburnt diesel.

On Saturday I opened unit, cleaned Glow plug, flame sensor and disconnected electric connectors in attempt to clear lock out memory. It ran once on fan and heater when checking but later on in evening switched on and back to nothing at all. Does anyone out there know any more about these units? Help please! /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Can comment on these things being very voltage sensitive.Mine is very reluctant to fire up unless batteries are 100% charged.Never ever fails to fire up when under way...ever!

I've got an Ardic but never had to fix - only used it once since buying boat a year ago. I've got a brief manual on the boat - would you like me to pick it up tomorrow and email you a copy? If so PM me your email address.

Thanks, I have a manual on the Ardic, but it doesn't tell you much on rectifying faults. There's power going to the unit because the glow plug heats up, but the fan isn't switching on.
I think our batteries are in reasonable nick but I didn't check the specific voltage at the time. I will check again this weekend.

Have one of these also.
Eleven years old, was disconnected when I bought the boat.
Any supplier/service agents out there?
