Archive 8mm cine film

CDYC have 2 reels of 8mm cine film that has been transfered to vhs video, although jerky and some shots out of focus are netherthless of interest, sailing yachts of the 60s and Beachley slip without the Severn Crossing. Work parties and Regatta Marquee, and very fast speed boats that look like Trays wih big outboards attached.
Question,
Who can transfer video to Cd or Dvd for us ?

There are mail order firms that do it cheaply but I would worry about losing it in the post unless you can copy it first.

Give these a ring video/cd (No personal experience of them.)

Anybody with a VHS player and a DVD recorder under their telly! I've just been archiving my old VHS tapes to DVD in this way. No need for any specialist firms...
