Arcadia\'s arrival

Sitting here in frozen Scotland watching "South today" courtesay of "sky" it was interesting to watch Arcadia arrive in Southampton. What suprised me more was the lack of Forumites to greet here on such a fine and sunny day!!!!

Re: Arcadia\'s arrival

Alas, I'm at a new job so only able to occasionally look at the forum during the day. The job's advantage, though, is that I saw Arcadia arrive from my desk. I didn't even know I was near the docks.

Not a small boat.

Re: Arcadia\'s arrival

We were all inside watching her on the telly. Eighty-odd thousand tonnes, taller than Canary Wharf tower and longer than Tower bridge with nearly 2000 passengers on board according to the blurb on the local news. (see here as well.) I should be able to see her from here and my office doesn't even face the water! Apparently Gary Rhodes runs one of the restaurants, I'm not sure if that is one of the good points or not.

Re: Arcadia\'s arrival

Surprising to see that the info. says she was only launched on Monday. No wonder I can't get a decorator or plumber this week, they must all be fitting her out .
Also, 22knts is a bit pathetic isn't it?
