Hi All,

My first post on ybw.com! I bought a 2004 Aquador 25C in June last year. Had a few probs but basically its a fine boat and we had a great summer in the Solent.
She is currently out of the water. Trouble is I seem to be finding masses of rainwater in the bilges and cannot see where it is coming from. I have checked the hose clips on the scuppers and around the engine hatch covers. The heads on the st'b'd side have a massive storage space abaft the loo and there is a lot of water lying there where the FW pipes and septic tank pipes run. Impossible to gain access to the port side to check if it is the same. Boat also has a slight port list but this may be due to an imbalance of weight. ie Batteries, original FW tank, fridge and hob...

My money is on a leak around the sliding doors P&S, but how it gets into the void abaft the heads and into the bilges I have no idea.

I would be delighted if anyone can help throw some light on this annoying problem and also to hear if there is a website for Aquador owners to share their problems.

Thanks in anticipation.

Hi and welcome to the forum. I can't help with your problem I'm afraid but there's bound to be someone with suggestions on here so I thought I'd bump you to the top.

Hi and welcome.

Water leaks are a pain. You seem to already be certain they are rain water leaks which is good. Obviously there is all sorts if water around or in a boat and sometimes it's a case of tasting to decifer what water it is.

Rain water can find its way in the smallest gaps. Windows, hatches, patio doors, air vents all need careful investigation and water can get in and travel a distance. A person with a hose and someone inside with a torch can often be a good way of finding leaks, and the below product is great for applying to seals and around windows etc and tends to help find any holes!

Can't help with your issue apart from the obvious taste, hose and search by following the water from bottom and upwards, but if you Google you'll find user groups and clubs.

Since the manufacturer is still alive and doing well, a contact to their customer service might be helpful too

PS! A search in Swedish and Danish didn't find a lot of posts about this, so the problem most likely is not common. Some report leaks from sterndrives and although not an Aquador problem it still would need to be fixed.

Firefly's recommended fix can be seen on this video ad
