Hi all
Can anybody tell me if the 23 HT can take the grounding will the eg lift clear?
heres hoping for a season!

Not sure...but I’d suggest if it’s a VP drive...on a fair number of applications they are used on, the drive won’t lift far enough up to stop the outdrive still remaining the lowest part of the boat. Be touch and go if the outdrive may just be taking the brunt of the weight of the boat, on its gearbox. That wouldn’t be too clever.

possible, on my Aq 26 it lifts high enough to be clear of most of the mud
difficult to say what would happen on hard sand, not tried that yet
sure looks above the 'keel' when on the trailer with the leg up
You’ll no doubt know better than I Simon. Just thought I’d mention it. May be a more modern drive than the DPA I had on the sealine. But it was defo lower than the hull on that. Also on a princess 286 and another sealine I know of too. May well not be the case on these. All the best.

Simon do you tow your boat. Reason I thought of the 23 is the trailerbility.

i don’t tow mine
it is in a park and ride yard, the yard tractors tow it
rinse the salt off and out after the weekend use
much kinder on the boat esp the outdrive and KAD
any work and i can just walk up to it or pay some one

I see mine as a floating caravan, don’t much care about traveling far with her
cars and hotels are much easier for longer trips

engine access is important, can you get to all the sides in a 23 ?
