Aqua Spec AQ98 Lifejacket Lights

I bought 2 of these life jacket lights 4 years ago. They both have expiry dates of 0509. One is still working and the other has failed. They cost about £25 each to replace. Is there a way to recharge the batteries? Not very green to have to bin it!
