I need one of these but the only websites that sell them for sensible money are in the US. Here they seem to cost almost as much as a whole new light (which is £34.99 from marinescene). Any ideas where I can get one?

That's about right. It's the same principle as used by car manufacturers, they make real money on the spares. We don't bother to list them any more as the price differential doesn't warrant it. If you but a new one it will at least have a new bulb, with clean contacts :)

A golden opportunity to throw away your incandescent nav light and put the money towards the LED replacement.

When I had to replace the masthead tricolour in Malta it was, in fact, cheaper to replace the whole thing, than to get a replacement lense.

Just had the same experience and have replaced the whole light!

I replaced my tricolour complete but I found some inexpensive replacements for the series 25 lights.. Poor in some respects but the lenses were interchangeable with the Aquasignal ones!
