Hi,
Are there any recommendations for someone who knows about Volvo's around the Medway towns?

To do better than i'm currently getting all they have to do is turn up rather than keep saying "oh yes, i must get round to your boat" or "oh yes i was supposed to do that yesterday" or the most common "oh yes, I'm doing that tomorrow"

many thanks.

From bitter experience on local menders and hearsay............
Personally I would be trying to contact Volvopaul.

I PM'd volvopaul but unfortunatly he live to far away so i'm still on the lookout.

I just don't think there is anybody, unfortunately.
I can give you the number of a guy who will turn up, but he's completely useless.
Or, the number of somebody else who is supposed to be good, but takes weeks to get back to you...

No idea if this is at all feasible for you, but VolvoPaul carried out the engine survey on my boat whilst it was at Penton hook on the Thames.
He wouldn't come to Medway, but can do that area of the Thames as it's between where he lives and where his boat is.
Maybe try and co-ordinate it with a trip?

If I ever had to have something done to an outdrive locally, I'd contact Wayne at ISS marine in sandwich. OK, not the Medway area, but he seems pretty good (used him twice now) and not too far away.
For engine work, I'd ask him if he could recommend anyone, if not I'd try Allington marina. Have to stress that I've only chatted to the engineers there, never used them myself, but could be worth a try.
The only other place I could recommend (don't know if they'll work on Volvos though) is power products marine in Cuxton. Good at what they do, hopeless at returning calls and very expensive though.
