Good evening everyone, me again!
I'm looking for some help/guidance.
My 2 aqad41a's both start and smoke as 41a's are supposed to
my problem is there's a ticking noise from the port engine and not the starboard, it thought at first it was the valve clearances and sure enough they where out, not massively but out none the less. I reset to the 0.40 setting as supplied from the good members of this forum and it did seem a little better (maybe wishful thinking).
The ticking seems to be coming from the top of the engine which is why I suspected the valve clearances but am now suspecting an injector. The ticking is engine speed related (increases as rpm's increase) but disappears when rpm's get high. Any idea how to check the injectors? I'm thinking I'm best off sending of to a specialist, are they easy to remove??
