No, go on, which is it. I confess to being the author of last year's one 'Yachts to be made of living plastic?' which unfortunately had to be trimmed a bit to become a news item but I can't spot this one - yet

Oh I wish Volvo prices were just an April Fool but they aren't, although someone must be laughing!

At least Dick Turpin had the good grace to wear a mask when he robbed people!

I'm amazed at the lack of response to this. I logged on just to pick up on what I thought would be a storm. All those early retirement plans up the spout. Or was it too crass and obvious for anyone to comment

I think we are so used to crazy proposals coming out from Europe that no one realised it was a wind-up. After all if someone published the details of the RCD in the April issue we would all be convinced that that was an April Fool.

Other contenders for the April Fool might include
a) The chart table on the SO35
b) The story of a boat being scuttled just because the rudder fell off
c) That GPRS PC Card
