We seem to be getting a plan together for the season. Thanks for your help ( Grehan and others)
There are couple of remaining questions.
1) our draught is 1.4m we are using the canal from the Rhone to Sete but would really like to continue to Agde and re-mast there (Chantier Allamand has been recommended)
but the last 7 km section is on the canal Midi which is supposed to be 1.5m does anyone have any recent information? otherwise we will re-mast at Sete.
2) Has anyone any recommendations about getting re-masted at Sete.
Many thanks

We draw 1.4 metres and exited the Canal du Midi at Agde after being unable to get into the Med at Port la Nouvelle, even though we were only about 100 metres from it. This was in 2005.

We re-masted at Cap d'Agde, done very efficiently and at remarkably low cost, €14 if I remember correctly.

14 Euros I'm up for that!! Thanks for that.

Hi, I did this last year on our boat that has a draught of 1.3m. Yes, the Canal du Midi is supposed to be 1.5m but at a few places we touched bottom ! We came onto the canal from the Etang de Thau, as you would, at this time we were just floating, 1.4m might not make it.
