Should you see three ships, manned by men with improbably large moustaches, and observing strict radio silence, please report them to either:

Admiral Chuck Frisbee Jr, USN Intelligence, or
Admiral Sir Bruce Luce-Sox, RN Spooks Branch, HMS Cutandpaste.

Your co-operation is much appreciated.

Luke Leaner, A1(M)

mmm maybe a cruise around the Indian Ocean is not such a good idea then eh? ;)

On the news this morning, they said that there could be a perfectly innocent explanation for them circling in the Indian Ocean for months on end, keeping radio silence.

So maybe we could help think some excuses sorry explanations up for them. I'll start it with "the captain's hat fell overboard and we've been spending the last 3 months trying to pick it up".

One of the ships has to be the recently launched French Navy (contradiction in terms, I know) aircraft carrier, the Charles de Gualle - don't u all remember the propeller falling off just outside Le Havre on its first sea trial ??!!

Must have made it as far as the Indian Ocean now and the same problem's occurred again.

The other two ships will be our French cousins' version of a task force !!

Regards ..... Francophile Eric.

Perhaps they were trying to get some points for hitting the wreck of the Tricolor but were unsure of its exact location.

And after all the posts here warning of the perils of being totally reliant
on GPS, some people never seem to learn!!
