About Easter this year I became the owner of a Dutch steel ketch..A Carena 36 and brought her back to England from Holland. I am delighted with her. However, she is fitted with a Phillips AP Navigator MK5 which gives a very good position. Unfortunately the manual is in Dutch and I have been unable to find an English version so the position is all I can use!! I think there are many useful functions I am missing out on! I have been in contact with Phillips but to date they have not come up with the goods, this being quite an old unit. Is there anyone out there who can help?

Katoema (Suncoast 40) was built in Holland for a German!!! No English on the boat. The easiest thing to do was to change everything (in France), but as we live in Jersey, the vessel was then registered in Cardiff!

Dutch Boats are well constructed and after 48 years on the high seas, remain so.

Good Luck!
