Holidays haven't coincided very well this year and I'm taking Lazy Kipper from Ipswich to Chichester on the 18th July singlehanded. On the upside you'd have your own cabin, use of an electric loo, a wheelhouse so the weather is irrelevant and some great sails to play with. On the down side I play the guitar badly, often wear mismatched baggy clothes, and heartily dislike beating to windward.

LK is well found, life is civilised and I aim to arrive at the destination more relaxed than I left the last port. If a couple of chaps want to come along they can have a cabin each and if you just want to come along for the company without having to pull a lot of tiresome ropes, that's fine, the chute just looks after itself anyway. Its Ipswich/Dover/Eastbourne/Brighton/Chichester, probably in that order but you never can tell.

Good day Sir!

I wonder if I could impose myself on you for the proposed trip? My reasoning being two fold.. Over the past 3-4 months (though having no sailing experience) I have been scouring the realms of the internet in search of making the all so important decision on which vessel to purchase a little later this year.
Having weighed up as many pros and cons as having no experience will allow, this past week my heart became set on the Colvic Watson.. This, in good part was decided upon after watching your video diary on youtube over past weeks, (excellent by the way) combined with the hearty list of assets that the Colvic inherently has, and what are in my opinion, lines and style that make it an exceptionally beautiful craft.
Here`s the plan in brief.. My most wonderful partner Olivia and myself are opting out of traditional life entirely, and our search began in looking for a vessel upon which the two of us can permanently live and travel, safely, economically and over open water if we choose. Therefore, the opportunity to travel a while on the same vessel we now intend to buy would of course be of major benefit.
I should add, that I`m no couch potato and would like if possible to take a `hands on` approach to the trip, the advantages gained in familiarising myself with the boat would obviously give us a fantastic head start when our day comes!
Kind Regards
Steve Kemp

Double checked the dates and it's the 14th for departure, aiming to get to Cichester on the 18th. No log book or references required, only a reluctance to beat to windward.

I would be pleased to join this trip if possible. I sail a Leisure 23sl singlehanded most of the time and have been known to do 18 hours at a helm. Always good to see a different part of the coast occasionally. Will need to plan/book return to Suffolk nearer the time. Will PM my contact details later. Malcolm

Sounds great. Return is easy, we'll end the trip in Chichester marina, bus goes from outside the marina every 20 minutes into Chichester then it's a train to Suffolk.

Looks like the crew is complete. I guess I provide the beer and the pies :)
