I remember that slipway as a lad!

We used to launch the family Shetland and Microplus from there, either from the slipway or the 'beach' depending upon the tide.

I was the 'launch grunt' who used to swim to the boat once afloat, just in case things went worn, because even aged 12 I could start a Mercury 60hp 2 stroke and helm the boat!

I could actually reverse the Land Rover and trailer down the slipway at 13, but lets not talk about that!!
