Anyone taking a boat to Mallorca by road?

Your best bet may be to contact someone likes Peters & May who regularly transport boats by sea from the UK to Palma so can also presumably do the reverse journey.

You would need to get your boat from wherever it is in Mallorca to Palma but that wouldn't be difficult to do by road if the boat isn't seaworthy.

hi,
Think I've posted before on this thread subject a few weeks ago perhaps ??
Bingley Transport intend to transport out my friends 38ft boat from Hull UK to Port Ginesta Barcelona w/c 12/4 onwards. He intends to then motor over to Alcudia Mallorca soon after arrival.
Perhaps give them a call to discuss option of using the return load, but to ferry over wagon and escort to mallorca & back will be costly.
My friend may consider chipping in a bit to save his transfer costs over to Barcelona and return run to Alcudia Mallorca.
If your serious about the move then you need to get onto this possibility quickly as they will be arranging the return load now. This may be your best and cheapest option for a long time !
pm me if you wish

Thanks. I'm very serious about the move. PM on it's way!

Hi Rich

We are fine, hope you are both still enjoying the sunshine. I kept my red duster for sentimental reasons so perhaps the new owner hasn't realised he needs one.

Have you gone over to the dark side yet or still with the Nimbus. Must admit that we are missing Alcudia a bit at the moment but still feel we made the right decision for us.

Hope you have a great boating year

Martyn

Hi,

Dont know when you want to do this, but I want to bring a 43ft I have just bought out to MDL's marina in Sant Carles De La Rapita, Spain in the next month or so. I will be speaking to Coast2Coast who I have used before to do this. I can ask them what sort of deal they could do. PM me if you are interested!

Mind you, I could always have my boat dropped at Mallorca then sail it back over to the mainland if the price is right!

John

Good thought - and thanks - but I have now fixed a return trip with Interboat Transport.
