Anyone fancy a swop to explore new areas? Do you know of someone, or suggestions as to me swopping my 30 ft swing mooring in Exmouth, for one in the Dart - short term for 6 weeks or so ? I fancy exploring the Dart as I pick my new boat up from there soon - just for a while. where else should I try if not here ?
My mooring was Fully serviced this week.

Fimacca,

I'd like to exchange my lifestyle to being a womens' bikini twanger in the Seychelles but that ain't likely to happen either.

You may get lucky, but will probably have to pay up like everyone else if you want to visit the Dart or anywhere else, the Exe is cheap for a reason.

As you're picking your boat up there, might be worth having a word with the brokerage / seller to see if they can arrange a deal, then go off upriver ( you don't say what sort of boat ) but I'd think it unlikely to say the least to get a few weeks cheap.

This will be your cheapest option ever to visit the Dart, with the boat already there, but expect to pay harbour dues, and I hope you have a chart to show depths if you're going up to Totnes.

If you can make it to Falmouth they might be a bit more accomodating but that's a serious trip, you and the boat have to be up to it, with crew to help out and the money to pay at stops in between.

Take it from me, it's expensive holidaying in a boat these days !!

Might be best to get to the your mooring on the Exe and work on your new boat, she's bound to need something doing, I could go on a millionaires' boat and make a list of things to do, as could many posters on these forums, meanwhile if not on launching make your plans for a quick re-visit to Dartmouth later on if the weather holds, or there's always next season.

Have Fun !
