Anyone seen the new Miami Vice movie?

Not as much boaty action as was promised in the trailers for the film, but some stunning looking boats in it non the less.

Some very stealthy and muscly black Donzi's (looked about 40ft long) and some kind of race boat that looked good for well over 100mph! /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Yep,

Was at the Premiere. Very dissapointed as Mann decided the first cut of the film was too alike the original series which he made....so he got out the scissors and cut the opening Boat chase, a further boat chase and a car chase! He wanted it be be more darker and more moody...it really P**sed me off.

Overall a good film and I believe the Catamaran that they used to nip off for a Mahito was an MTI 44. The Black Donzi was the first production 40 and was Hul number 1!

Good film, but could have been better! (and yes I do have a very large interest in how it does as i want a new boat!)

What a disaster! We wanted it to be more like the original series! More car and boat type action was exactly what it needed (I found it pretty slow going to be honest).

I guess we can only hope the DVD comes with these as deleted scenes.
