I would certainly not disagree!

Put together by someone vaguely competent with his hands (the workmanship isn't as terrible as you usually see on this kind of shed) but utterly unfamiliar with boats.

Looks like a nautical Darlek, perfect for Chi Harbour. Could be used to zap all those dinghy hooligans who don't know the speed limits and think they have right of way.

I suppose on the plus side you wouldn't have much trouble explaining to the water taxi which boat you were, and it does appear to draw only about 68 cm (ideal for creek crawling!) though it looks like they weren't at all sure at what level it would float.

No accounting for taste, of course, but be afraid, be very afraid - there are several examples of the Mk 1 very much closer to home than Dubai!

I wouldn't describe the "Mk1" as pretty, but it's considerably less bad than the Mk2.
