I guess a few people on the Classic Boat forum here will have read AE Copping's 'Gotty and the Guv'nor' which is a great read about a fishing bawley going down channel at the turn of the last century.

There was a second book called 'Gotty in Furrin Parts' about a trip to Holland, which is out of print although John Leather hoped it too would be reprinted - it hasn't. I have searched high and low but can't find a copy. Has anyone seen one or can anyone point me to look somewhere to find it (done ABE books online etc.)?

First post to this excellent forum which I have read with interest over a long period.

I read 'Gotty and the Guv'nor' many years ago, with a memorable description of sailing a small leaky boat in a near gale coming up-channel, which has stuck with me ever since. (Also the rendering of Essex dialect).

Had no idea there was another book, now you've got competition!
