Conditions are generally light winds... I've sailed with friends while on various business trips. Relaxed sailing and a SLOW boat, not helped by the generous Barny collection, poor sails and sailing in light winds with a 100% Genoa only = main sail totally knac****d.:D

Relaxed. :D

Based from the UK, try to get away on a boat for a

We sailed down then three weeks later back up the Isreal Med coast in July 2006, with 80 other yachts as part of the East Med Yacht Rally.
Stopped into Haifa, Ashkelon, Ashdod, Herzliya.
Conditions were ideal for cruising most days over a two / three week period. Typically had westerly winds so the N/S coastline gave lots of reaching.
Lots of surpise hellos at night and always closely monitored by Israeli Defence Forces.
Did not sail round to Eilat but did visit Aqaba in Jordan just over the gulf and got on the water in a dive boat.
Zip wind that day, sea glassy flat, and temperature over 40 celcius.
