Old age has finally caught up with my Stowe Depthsounder and Log.

I have decided to replace with Raymarine ST60+.

Has anyone done this? Can you tell me if the current through fittings for the log and the transponder are the same?

I know its probably a vain hope but even I deserve to get lucky sometime!

I have recently replaced the screen assembly in my ageing Stowe navsounder - supplied by web page . They seem to have a supply of parts and refurbished or new Stowe instruments. Might save you some grief if other brands do not like your Stowe sender units. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Same affliction has happened with our Stowe Instruments, and I am planning on also getting a Raymarine unit to replace them with, but am looking at a ST40 Bidata (log and depth), rather than the ST60, as we dont need wind as well.
Raymarine have some good technical manuals / catalogues on their website to download re their instruments - here is some info re the ST60 - http://www.raymarine.com/raymarine/SubmittedFiles/2006_catalog/usa_catalogs/ST60.pdf
the transducers are 2" / 51 mm diameter.

Thanks for the feedback guys, I did look at Tinley who seem to be a very good responsive outfit, but the cost of repairs was substantial when I added in shipping costs to Spain so I decided to go for the "safety" of new kit and the warranty that goes with it.

transducer holes for the Stowe units, unless bought very late on will definitely be smaller than the replacments you look to fit.
Opening out the holes is not too bad a job, you just need to be careful not to overdo things.
Good luck.
