As the title says, all I know is it's a 200HP Turbo Diesel... Can't get the name off the cover, would love to know what manuf. it is. The broker told me before but I Can't remember. Also if anyone has any experience with this engine please let me know. The broker said that the turbo was replaced, failed due to lack of use (Plausable, but possible I guess)

The engine is in a Balt 750 which I am growing to love and considering buying.

What boat is it in, is it coupled to a sterndrive and if so what make is the drive.

It looks like a Japanese base unit probably a Toyota but the big intercooler hides a lot of the engine.

The engine is in a Balt 750, the stern drive seem's to be a Mercruiser (Don't know if its alpha or bravo) because of the oil filler bottle on the right hand side of the picture

FNN and GNN arent returning any hits... I guess ill just have to ring the broker in the morning. I hate dealing with brokers. Extra cost, and they just don't know a boat like an owner does

Fair play to you, thank's for that! Now all I need to know is reliability, etc.

Ill scour the net for some more info, would like to know what stern drive combination goes with the engine, if the intercooler is cooled via sea water etc...

How cool is that Marinised Alfa engines! I have the 1.9jtd 16v engine in my car. In standard form it produces 150hp and is a pretty reliable unit. Its possible to re-map it to 200hp so FNM's version at 163hp should not be overstressing it too much.

It states 200HP at the crank.

My current KAD32 is 170HP, I wonder is this at the crank or gearbox?

The Balt 750 weigh's 2800KG, wonder if the '200'HP is enough to push her along nicely... I sure would miss the supercharger on the KAD32

Times like this I wish I was in the UK so I could just pop down for a test drive... maybe they should build a bridge between Ireland and the UK
