hi all

is there anyone on here that could make me some L shaped brakets so i can convert some horizonral style weaver snap davits into the type that would fit on my transon like in the pic below, they would need to be made from marinde grade stainless steel and be strong enough to hold a 2.3 mtr yamaha tender

i took a pic of this below in the marina in swanwick at the weekend and this is how i would like them to fir onto the transom

thanks again shawn

Have you looked on the weaver snap davit web site, there are many different designs made and you may get some from stock unless you are modifying some you already have.

Shawn, mine fit to the rear of the bathing platform, but screw through the grp vertically. Not sure why you would want to fit them on the back of the transom, as this will put the mounts in shear, not such a good technical fit to grp.

i dont want anything on the platform that i can stub toes on or trip over as my platform is not very big and i dont like trip hazards

i will get some stainless brackets made to spread the weight out on the transom and fit a large stainless sheet on the inside of the transom to spread all the weight doing it this way the davits are out the way and nothing to trip over

you can buy proper transom fit ones but they are expensive i have just bought a new set of weaver snap davits off ebay with all patches stand off arms etc etc full kit for £150 but they are horizontal type so hence the brackets required to turm them into transom vertical fit like the ones below would be
