Anyone moored at Empuriabrava?

We are planning a visit to Empuriabrava in the next month or so, anyone on the forum have a property or boat moored there? Would appreciate some feedback, or perhaps a chat prior to us flying out!

towed a 21ft boat down there and kept it in the marina a few years ago (2 years in a row) ; stayed in apprartment - what exactly are you looking for?

Yep I've been there for a year and just signed up for another. As you probably know it's a marina city with about 5000 boats. In consequence forget August. Also in consequence you have all the boat services at hand, loads of average restaurents, pubs, great supermarkets and stuff like minigolf, go carts and parashoot jumping.
The canal system ensures no waves but it does blow down from the Gulf du Lion during the winter and other times.
It's secure (I've not heard of any trouble with boats)
The boating is fantastic with the Medas Is to the soulth and Cap de Creus to the north
It's cheap, I pay £2500 pa for a 37ft incl water, elec and poor toilet and shower facilities

David, if you are in the main marina don't you get use of the Sport's Club and it's 'ablutions'? Or is this just a compulsory extra for visitors?

I think you get a discount from the club not free membership. The facilities at the marina are not that bad just not very posh.
