Nope, I've already got a full size one to work on

Although if you can build a ship in a bottle it's great practice for replacing parts of an in-mast furling system through a few small slots in the mast

IMG_20220626_071946.jpg40 years ago I broke my hip and while immobilised for 3 weeks I built this Billings Boat kit. I remember steaming the garboard planks to get the twist in them. Before that I built my own designs for sailing on a pond. Nowadays I don't seem to have the patience plus a full size one, but it left me with a real appreciation of ship models.

I made various waterline models not very true to scale or of any determined boat but masking and rigging was fun and the sails were made from an old sheet dyed brown……superglue was very useful
