With the MDL woolverstone ferry ending soon I will be struggling out to my boat (moored opp Pin Mill) in my small inflatable till its time to put the boat somewhere for the winter. Has anyone got a hard tender I could use a few times to get out and back to the mooring? Reward paid in Beer!

I have a redundant tender in King's yard at Pin Mill, I am not sure what state it is in at present though, as when I last saw it a few weeks ago it was full of water, and had a hole in it which Gus said he would fix as it was his fault!!

If it is seaworthy you would be welcome to borrow it. I will have a look later on today and advise, you may of course receive a better offer.

Sorry, I have just been down to the yard, and it still has a hole in the bottom so def not seaworthy! Good luck with your search.

My boat is in Kings Yard; round the back, on the right hand side - a Vertue covered by a green tarp.

The tender is alongside, upside down marked t/t Chinita. The launching trolley is at the back of the boat.

I think the oars and rowlocks are underneath but can't quite remember (and I am in Portugal and can't check). I also have a clinker dinghy covered up on the other side of Chinita and they may be under that cover, have a look. Anyway, I am sure Gus will help you out if they are missing.

You are welcome to use it.

Always keep oars available when I use the tender..esp in the Orwell, where 5 mins trying to restart engine can put you a couple of hundred yds further away from your destination!
