if the 'save Maidenhead at all costs Channel' is fully open because levels down this end (Weybridge) are still rising by the hour and we're getting a bit twitchy.Can't seem to find any specific info.

Wasn't that what happened in the floods winter 2002/2003 & everybody claimed the newly opened channel saved Maidenhead and flooded Chertsey/Weybridge, then there all the EA meetings for residents when it was claimed it hadn't affected those areas?
Was this ever looked into after independently?

The Jubilee River is in operation , not sure what position it is at currently.

The Jubilee River WILL NEVER be fully opened. The force of water going through the gates would cause the surrounding banks to be washed away in no time! It was designed with gates that can push far more water through than the surronding banks can withstand...

Tried to get to speak to a person at the Offices but got onto the merry go round of recorded messages.
Many thanks TL and Shades - was just a little concerned that the relief channel had yet to open and we might be met with an unexpected extra flow.
