Anyone know of a marina close to Greenwich?

South Dock is OK... several liveaboards there.

Showers and toilet block isnt the best but usuable!

Tube about 10 mins and riverbus coupe of mins walk.

Myself and the good lady actually lived in Southdock for a brief period on-board our old De-Groot at the time. We were both working in London and it was a cheap(ish) way of living.

I remember there was a good floating pub called the "Wibbly Wobbly" in the adjacent (Greenland?) dock which was a converted ferry. It was a real pub, dark, full of smoke and all sorts of funny locals. I used to like it for the odd late night pint...

Brings back happy memories. A week in Southdock would be alright I would have thought.

Just a word of warning, make sure to enter Southdock at close to slack water. When the tide's running, it's a tricky entrance (being at 90 degrees to the flow) with brick sides. It's also only navigable so many hours either side of high water - I'm sure the web-site will have this, alternatively give them a call.

Cheers,
Paul

Greenwich YC? Stream moorings and, IIRC, some on a pontoon.

I'd go to Limehouse, good range of access times.
