Crossed over from Boulogne this a.m.

Just in the nick of time it proved.
5NM off Ramsgate the wind went from SW 12kts to SW 27kts - in a flash.

How fast can you reef?
Been blowing a b'stard ever since.

Place looked deserted - reason soon became clear, lots of berths reserved for Ramsgate Week.
Two options: rocking/being stuck in the mud with no water or leccy in the Eastern Marina , or Inner Marina in relative peace and comfort with water and leccy.
No brainer.
Staying till Monday.
Looks like we have a 'window' then.

Any-one about - feel free to stop by for a natter and/or a beer.

The good ship Full Circle is scheduled to arrive around 01.00 Sunday am.

I am driving down (cheat) and will be there sometime on Sunday.

Racing starts Monday.

Update:

Just heard from Jim. FC is holed up in Burnham and no longer due to be in Ramsgate at 0100 tomorrow. He's gonna make a decision in the morning as to whether to go to Ramsgate tomorrow or stay put.

Just back in from a neighbours and its gusted to 38 kts here in the last hour and a regular 25-27. Ugh summer. Stay put!
