had the pleasure of meeting him
a week or so ago. Poorlad is off the net at the moment, living on Stingo in Brighton, having had to postpone his plans for a year for business reasons.

Unfortunately a number of us descended upon him in the Hamble and drank all his supplies of brandy, whiskey and possibly even the diesel.

I can confirm we did drink his diesel, or at least it felt like we had.

Ahh, should take the time to pop in and see him, now he's local (to us at least). Might sail round next weekend if france doesn't beckon.

I'm alive and not so well after the invasion by the gang at the Hamble meet. Might also have been something wrong with the ice that the barmaid put in my whiskey.

No!..........fortunately.............he doesn't speak English very often, indeed the only sentence he's fluent in is 'Mines a pint of lager'
He's not quite got around to learning 'My round' but I am trying to educate him.
(funny how he has a problem with the word 'my')

Seems that the one sentence that I've mastered is the very same one that slips off the tongues of the majority of the forumites.

Plans are to try leave in March next year. All to do with tax and not breaking that nice Mr Browns rules.
So the boat is in Brighton because I'd given up my berth in Haslar and at the time, they couldn't give me an alternative berth that wasn't very rock & rolly. Strange how things work out - I was there collecting post the other day and they offered me my old berth back. In march I asked if it had been "allocated" and it had so I left haslar and it turns out that the allacotion wasn't taken up.
