Re: mythical or not

It's how it was reported on Grampian... but I can find no mention of him (as Grampian reported) on theirs or any other web site.. apparently from Scandanavia and was overpowered by enormous waves.. that's all the detail.. I was wondering who (which agency / country rescued him and how..)

The Iroquois Mk 1 which was designed and built as an offshore racer, did have a tendency to capsize due to its large, high aspect rig. The few that were built often sprouted foam floats at the masthead.

The Mk 2s, which had a smaller rig, were very stable, did not, as far as I know, have masthead floats, and there have been almost no accounts of them turning over except in extreme conditions or when badly handled. I don't know which Mk the one which capsized was - anyone know?
