Anyone heading West round Portland on the 27th August?

Hi All

Planning on heading West across Lyme Bay on Sat 27th August to Dartmouth, departing from Weymouth (weather dependent etc).

As a relative newbie, if anyone knows anyone planning that passage on that day, any other boats in company would be a nice sight to have!!

Good morning!

We will be in Weymouth for that date, but unfortunately due to other arrangements we're not able to join you. However, we would be interested in anything like this in the future.

Bit of background: 27ft single engine Bayliner Sportscruiser on Weymouth Council pontoon berth since June of this year. We both hold RYA Day Skipper, albeit from many years ago and we have 6 recent years experience in 19ft and then 21ft cuddy cabin sports boats. However, no real experience of any longer trips along the south coast, so as you say, some company would be nice!

Hi Nick. Thanks for the message. No problem, and always give me a shout if you are thinking about longer trips. Us single engined boat owners are better off in company on a longer passage!
