I'm in the process of purchasing a second hand boat and have joined the RYA as it seems to be a very supportive organisation. I want to use their 'Agreement for the Sale and Purchase of a secondhand boat' for the transaction but would like to amend the electronic version with relevant details. The RYA only have a PDF version but I'm sure I've heard a Word version exists, does anyone have a copy they could let me have please? PM me if you can help.

Thanks

Grant

As Jimmy said, but if that doesn't work for some reason I have in Word an agreement used by brokers Williams and Smithells when my brother bought his boat about 4 yrs ago. I dont know how close it is to the RYA model but I quite like it and we used it for my brother's boat. I can email it any time you want

Nope, that's not what I'm suggesting. Save it as a text document; open the text document in word and edit away to your hearts content. No converter needed.

Cheers
Jimmy

There are a couple of ways that you can get text from a PDF file to a Word document. Exactly which ones you can use depends on how the PDF file is protected. If the file is not protected, you may be able to copy and paste the text into a word document.
I still think you'll need a pdf converter - especially as I suspect the manual you are refferring to will contain many images.
