My brother had one many years ago; he found it an ideal 'live aboard' boat for a couple of years. Roomy, and ample 'cloakroom' facilities including IIRC a shower. He bought her from someone who had done a circumnavigation in her

Performance he reckoned was not so impressive, and was why he gave up in the end, as he reckoned it needed a F6 to really perform well. Mind you he switched to a Contessa 32 which he only rated 'adequate' for performance so maybe he had higher expectations than some.

But he had no qualms taking his children out on holiday in it, and sailed it safely in some pretty appalling weather, including the infamous Morning Cloud gale, being only twelve miles south of Morning Clouds' position when she was knocked down and lost.

I crewed him on a few occasions, but always met light weather when he tended to want to use the engine to get on, rather than potter about.

L'Escargot on this Forum has a Seadog, and he seems to be very happy with her - especially as he moved up from a wee Snappie!

A former boss of mine used to own a Seadog 'Tresco Maid' - there was a photo of her posted on one of the forums a couple of months ago, not of her specifically, but she was in the background. I went sailing on her a few times - needs a bit of breeze to get her going, but then she would tramp along very happily and steadily. TM's then owner is 6', and he didnt complain about bashing his head, so headroom must be OK.....

In our first season with ours, got back today from 2 weeks away and very pleased with how it went. Headroom in saloon is 6ft+ same in the heads by the washbasin but not where the toilet is located which is basically sitting headroom. Sails better than the average motorsailor but not a racer by any means - needs a f4+ to start moving

Good info here and on the deep Seadog here - basically the same interiors on both.
