Anyone got a good handle on the Solent weather this weekend?

Marine forecasts look reasonable.

However, the mainstream media has talk of an "atomic bomb" lightning storm coming up from France.

Anybody seeing that on their trusted forecasts?

Keen to avoid a Michael Fish 1987 moment.

light winds and sun make the most of it not often you have calm days in the solent . With light wind there may be a chance of fog rolling in.

XC weather saying wall to wall sun....

although last weekend I spent 4 days aboard and it was forecasting rain every day, didn't rain until Tuesday. I have come to the conclusion its better to go and find out rather than sit at home and have to do gardening.
