Anyone got a dog house (quite literally)?

We are about to buy a c. 50ft motor boat - all very exciting and more on this to follow once its all sewn up.

We also own two dogs - medium size.

Previously, we've always had the dogs loose inside our boats, but this time around we're hoping to (i) keep the interior slightly more hair-free and (ii) avoid the bloody spaniel eating the soft furnishings, which she rather enjoys when left unsupervised at home.

So, the wife's clever idea is a dog kennel arrangement outside. There will be adequate space for something of this nature, although my concern is making it sufficiently rain/sun proof so as to be effective.

Back-up plan is a cage inside for the black devil. The Labrador is no trouble, although the blonde hairs can get everywhere.

Think about this, then make them comfy, because chances are you may get to sleep in it sometime :p

I cant speak for doghouse but I can for cage and that didn't work at all.

Ours love their cages. The naughty one sleeps in it under the stairs (we call her Hairy Potter).

Always a distinct possibility. I'm actually eyeing up whether I can convert the lazarette into single crew accomodation because sometimes it would be useful.
