Hi all ,

Just wondered if anyone is planning a trip to St Kats / Chatham / Medway / Downstream for Easter or knows if any of the clubs are ?

Just so we can prepare for it at the lock , it makes life easier if we have know that on XYZ day , 25 boats from XYZ club are going to turn up in one hit wanting to go downstream on the tide.

Hope everyone is well , silly season is nearly upon us /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Yep, I'll be heading down on Wednesday afternoon/ evening and staying on your fab moorings. Not looking forward to the early start on Thursday though as we head off to Burnham-on-Crouch and Woodbridge... There will be a total of 5 boats. We'll be heading back on Monday. Are you going to be on in the morning, will get a brew on for you?

Thursday 9th ? HW Teddington 0420 ?

Nasty ....

Luckily i'll be tucked up in bed ( working earlys that day ) but i shall put a note on the board so that the night man knows you're all coming ( hopefully will have the lock ready and open for you too )

Yeah, not good, just have to use my will power not to get ratted the night before, which has happened before... We were thinking of pushing off about 0500, whatya reckon, plenty of time to get the free flow at Richmond? /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Yeah , the curtain will be up until 0615 (ish ) ... should leave you plenty of time to get up and make yourself presentable ...

We shall inspect you as you go through , make sure the bowls of fruit are on display ....

Walton Bridge Cruiser Club plan to go down around high water on Thursday afternoon. We are heading for St Katherine's but will spend the night at Chiswick. We will only have three boats as the rest are going up-river for Easter.

ODCC are going down to Limehouse for the Marathon on the Friday (9th?) leaving Tedders at 10am.

They'll have a long cruise/wait - the marathon isn't until the 26th April! /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Nothing that I'm aware of other than it's the day before Good Friday, I think Chris was getting confused and confused you into the bargain.
Look out for the canoists over that weekend.

The dreaded DW ...

No doubt we will have competitors huddled in our foyer fighting off hypothermia as we do every year !! /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Are the ODCC going down on the 9th or the 26th or have i got it completely wrong !!

Any ideas if TMYC or PHYC are going D/S for Easter ?

EDIT:-

PHYC - some to Windsor for Easter , some to Rochester

TMYC - Unknown

TWYC - St Kats apparently ..

Any intel gratefully recieved /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Any idea of numbers ? departure times , exact dates etc ?

Just so i can get it all on the wall so we are expecting you and are ready. If there's gonna be a load of you in one hit we might fire up the barge lock /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

Half the blimming Thmaes will be coming out that lock by the look of it.
Have just tried to book St Kats and been told to clear off "we are full".
Whats with you lot up there ,scared to go anywhere on yer own,as you always seem to go everywhere like a bunch of blimming lemmings. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Unless of course ahem....somebody could make me an honourary temporary member of their club and get me in on your block booking,in which case you are all a fine upstanding bunch of brave adventurers who well deserve your Easter break.

ODCC and BCC are going through Tedders at about 1300 BST on Friday 24th April. There will be about 17 boats.

BCC are also going down through Tedders at the same time on Sunday 24th May. 9 boats so far but should be a few more I hope.

I'll call nearer the time with exact numbers

Cheers
