Following on from the flurry of interest in the Contessa 32, in the other place - Scuttlebut....

Assent was the Fastnet '79 boat central to what was probably the greatest racing performance in the history of the sport.
Willy Kerr sailed her on many outstanding voyages to high latitudes.
He was awarded the Blue Water Medal from the Cruising Club of America, for a trip that saw Assent visit the waters around Cape Horn and Alaska and Siberia in the same year. He topped this off by having the boat trucked across the Rockies and sailing down through Canada and thence to the UK.
When Assent was being winched into the Great Lakes he overheard one stevedore saying to his mate:
"That boat looks too small for the big lakes, to me"
A word of warning, I think you might have to spend a tidy sum on the re-fit.
