Anyone following Dr. Stanley Paris on Kiwi Spirit in his RTW attempt version 2 ?

Well he has had to give up as something broke that was beyond his ability to fix and he is heading to South Africa under power.

The report I have says that his main sail has failed along a seam.

I believe it was some kind of high tech material with glued ? seams. So no point in getting out the needle and palm then eh?
